Reviews of Time Cafe Bar in Conwy
Below are some TripAdvisor reviews from people who have been to Time Cafe Bar.
Visited Nearby Conwy on a busy Saturday for a family outing. Feeling a bit peckish we popped in to Time. What a gem this place is!
Greeted and seated straight away, my wife and 3 children (13, 6 & 2) got straight into the classy looking menus. The choice isn't the biggest but that's not a criticism. There is something for every taste and appetite and its concise offering actually stands Time in a positive light compared to other cafes and restaurants that seem to fill page after page of their menu just for the sake of it, not necessarily for the benefit of the customer.
We placed our order - Time burger & Mexican burger for us adults, cheese and onion ciabatta (with side of fries) for the teenager and the young ones had a simple beans on toast and a nuggets with chips and beans.
Our drink order came within 5 minutes, including my strawberry milkshake - served in a traditional glass milk bottle. The kids were so jealous - I love these quirky little touches!
The food arrived within 15 which considering how steady the flow of customers were, I thought was pretty impressive.
The burgers were 'proper' homemade gourmet burgers, the juices of the mince used were beautiful. The Time burger consisted of the burger together with black pudding, an egg, bacon and hash browns. It was huge and very very satisfying. The Mexican burger had 5 onion rings and some jalapeños that were just hot enough. Both cooked to perfection and the size of portion was superb, made the meals great value for money.
The portion sizes of the other 3 meals were also very generous and apart from the youngest, all plates were cleared.
The setting was beautiful, really interestingly decorated with a variety of time pieces and I especially loved all of the Welsh product on offer and the way in which it was displayed. Spotlessly clean and just very fresh.
The staff were lovely and welcoming and made us aware of their presence without being anywhere near overwhelming.
Everything about the visit was perfect, thank you for the warm welcome, great food and super service - and we will be visiting again for sure.
Popped in for lunch with my hubby and children. A hard choice as there were many things on the menu that we wanted to try, but we had the 'Time burger' & 'Mexican burger'. Both burgers were huge, I couldn't actually see the bottom bun to pick it up, filled with onion rings, jalapeños and cheese, it was delicious. My husbands Time burger was filled with black pudding egg, bacon and sausage, even with his big man hands he struggled to control the burger! The children's meals were a very generous size, an adult size plate full to the brim with fries beans and nuggets! The inside of the restaurant is decorated to perfection, with lots of charming homemade/ local treats to buy and take home.
We have had breakfast here and lunch ( on different days) and both meals were excellent value for money, food was lovely as was the staff. Warning, the breakfasts are Big, so make sure you have a good appetite. Would definitely recommend to all.
First visit to Conway in more than ten years and delighted to see how much it has improved - really clean and neat with good shops, and then decided to have lunch at 'Time', which was an excellent decision. Very friendly staff, good value and really good food - well presented, fresh and very good portions. Beautifully fitted establishment too - highly recommended.
UK holiday travelling around England and Wales. This was one of the most enjoyable breakfast at exceptional value for money.
Well we're do I start , this place is fantastic and definitely a must in if your in the Conwy area. We called in after doing a quick trip advisor check of what was available close by and again trip advisor came through for us!
The establishment is inviting and well decorated, the staff were great too quick to meet our need with a "nothing's to much trouble" attitude , the menu was fantastic with lots of choice for all the family.
Now the icing on the cake is the food !!! It's fantastically cooked with great produce and the portions are a man sized portions to fulfil any empty belly and leave you fully content. A massive credit to the owner and the staff, a place that deserves recognition. Gladly will be back again when we are in the area.
This is another example of how relatively new establishments are springing up and altering the image of a town. Conwy was always a very dreary old fashioned place, totally dependent on the famous castle to bring in the tourists but not any more as there are several bright modern businesses and great restaurants, this is certainly one of them. I ordered a cheese sandwich and was amazed when the plate arrived, wonderfully fresh thick slices of wholemeal bread stuffed with very tasty cheese, a separate dish of pickle and an appealing mixed salad to boot. They were busy but after a slightly slow start, the charming service picked up. All in all a very good experience.
We were warned when we ordered that it was big and it certainly was!! This is a really nice café and the food was excellent - everything you can imagine on a breakfast plate. Service/staff were superb as well and the surroundings are very clean and nicely decorated. Well worth a visit - thank you!!
I have visited this cafe on a couple of occasions and I have found the food to be very good. The service was quick and the staff were friendly even when the restaurant was busy. The restaurant has been well decorated and has a good atmosphere. One aspect of the restaurant I like is that there are a wide range of chutneys, chocolates, cakes and drinking chocolates on sale.
Called in here for lunch and glad we did - fantastically decorated cafe and the service was excellent from start to finish. My partner wanted to tweak her meal which was no problem, and we both thoroughly enjoyed eating here. We will be back! :)
Stumbled upon this place just walking down the main street looking for somewhere to go for tea and scones, perfect spot. Very busy when we went but managed to get a table. Cream scones and tea were superb, well presented and the best we had on our trip, great little cafe nicely decorated.
We popped here yesterday for a coffee and cake. It used to be the Clemence a good few years ago, and the transformation is great. Comfortable chairs, doesn't feel too crowded unlike some places in Conwy. There was a good selection of 'tray backs' at £1 a slice (flapjack and rocky road very nice), scone (not homemade which is disappointing) was okish- could do better! The coffee is excellent. £2.50 for a coffee press (2 cups), and you have the choice of loads of flavours which is unexpected. The menu looked good and seemed reasonable. We didn't eat a meal but the food looked ok when it was brought out. The staff were helpful. We ordered at the counter, but not sure if that is what you are supposed to do. Overall, this is as nice as all the other nice coffee shops in Conwy- can certainly hold it's own. Worth a try, and we will definitely go again to try to different flavour coffee bean!
Having been here three times I can honestly say I have not been disappointed. I can highly recommend the soup, especially the mushroom soup. WOW. My friend loves their pea and ham. On our last visit there was no mushroom soup on offer, and also no egg sandwiches. there was a big funeral going that had all the egg sandwiches on their very impressive spread. We changed our order to the steak and onion sandwich, but were given some free extras for not having the soup and sandwiches we fancied. Always top quality food, friendly and helpful staff and a really great time. Will certainly be returning again and again.
Stopped here for breakfast before visiting Conwy Castle. Excellent value for money and a large choice. Make sure you are very hungry / have a big appetite if ordering the big breakfast! The service was friendly and the food was served quickly. Well cooked and it was thoroughly enjoyed. There is a very nice relaxed atmosphere in this cafe too. Be sure to try the many flavours of coffee! I would definitely eat here again.
Food excellent. Coffee superb. Staff friendly. All in all a great place to park and chill in relaxed surroundings.
What a delicious pot of tea and cream scone my friend and I enjoyed today! Beautifully presented with clotted cream and little pots of strawberry jam. The food was delicious, the service prompt and friendly and the cafe itself was cleverly decorated with clocks of all shapes and sizes. For £3.95 each, you'd be missing out if you passed this lovely cafe bar by.
